Welcome to Zonta Club of the Quad Cities!
Members of Zonta Clubs are executives, managers, business owners, and professionals who are devoted to improving the welfare of the community and the status of women.


Meetings
The Zonta Club of the Quad Cities meets every fourth (4th) Wednesday of the month (with the exception of July, November and December). Meetings are held at The Butterworth Center which is located at 1105 8th Street in Moline, Illinois. Meetings start out with a social at 6:00 P.M. followed by the regular business meeting. During the meeting, a guest speaker is typically invited to speak on topics of general interest to the group.

Announcements

  • Saturday, March 20th, 2010: The Spring 2010 Vendors Fair will take place at the IBEW, located in Moline, Illinois from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
     
  • The Zonta Club of the Quad Cities is awarding four one-year scholarships this spring for the upcoming academic year of 2010-2011 to Quad City area high school/college women.

    The "Young Women in Public Affairs" scholarship award is $500. The applicant must be a pre-college/university high school student interested in a career or seeking a leadership position in social policy-making, government or community service organizations. Additional monies are available for the local recipient of the "Young Women in Public Affairs" scholarship at the District and International levels of Zonta. The application deadline is Friday, March 19th, 2010.

    To be eligible for the other 3 scholarships, the applicant must be an undergraduate student in her second or third year at a college/university, of high academic standing and active in her community. The "Ina Duncan Banks" scholarship and the "Zonta Achievement" scholarship awards are $1000 each (same application) and are for women enrolled in challenging and diverse careers.

    The "Jane Klausman Women in Business" scholarship award is $1000 for a woman enrolled in a business related field. Additional monies are available for the local recipient of the "Jane Klausman" scholarship at other levels of Zonta. The deadline for these two applications is Friday, April 16th, 2010.

    Zonta International, with headquarters in Chicago, IL, USA, is a world wide service organization of female executives in business and various other professions working together to advance the status of women.
